Escritura explained

"Escritura" is the Spanish/Portuguese word for a deed or document and the Escritura system of timeshare ownership is often used in those countries.

Simply explained, it is like buying a house in the UK whereby you register your new home with the land registry. In this case, however, you just have your particular timeshare week(s) registered. This is different to other forms of ownership where you have a right to use a particular timeshare week, season or apartment.
