TATOC announces new silver affiliation

TATOC, the Timeshare Association, has announced today that Hutchinson & Co Trust Company Limited, one of the world’s leading trustee organisations, has become a TATOC silver affiliate.

Hutchinson & Co Trust Company Limited began more than 25 years ago as a collection agent for resorts in Portugal and Malta. The group has grown to become one of the top specialised holiday ownership trustees in Europe and the largest in India and the Far East. The group now has offices in the UK, Spain, India, Thailand and China.

Key to the group’s success has been its ability to adapt to the demands of the market and maintain a superior level of service. As such, they are the perfect business partners for new developers, taking them through the planning and set-up process of the legal structure of their timeshare or fractional project and into its operational phase.

Managing Director, Veranne Wilkinson said: “TATOC has grown and evolved since it began in 1989 to become the leading shared leisure owner association in Europe, a journey we have watched with close interest over the years. We are proud to become silver affiliate members of TATOC and we look forward to supporting the future growth of the association as we believe TATOC has a pivotal role to play in ensuring that timeshare resorts and service providers continue to maintain and deliver the high quality of service owners and members expect.”

Speaking about the new affiliation Harry Taylor, executive chairman of TATOC, said: “We are absolutely delighted that such a respected and established company like Hutchinson & Co Trust Company Limited has become an affiliate of the Association. This is wonderful support from the industry and an acknowledgement of the progress TATOC is making.”

As silver affiliates of TATOC, Hutchinson & Co Trust Company Limited will adhere to the TATOC code of conduct issued in August 2011. All companies wishing to affiliate to the Timeshare Association are thoroughly vetted beforehand and continually monitored. Further details of the code of conduct can be found on the Association’s website (www.timeshareassociation.org).

Background information:

Amongst its portfolio of services, Hutchinson & Co Trust Company Limited not only delivers all the documentation necessary to effect the sale, but can also provide escrow and stakeholder facilities for an efficient and proper collection and distribution of purchase monies, contracts administration through to completion and the issue of ownership certificates, professional and efficient inventory control, as well as management fee collection services.

In 2007, the Group set up a specialist subsidiary, Citadel Trustees Limited, which is authorised by the UK Financial Services Authority to set up, operate and manage Unregulated Collective Investments Schemes, an area of business which the Group expects will be of particular focus for the company in the future.
