consumer alertUPDATED: It has been brought to our attention that a FOURTH bogus re-sale company/agent is operating as TATOC in the USA. This time the agent is working from offices in Florida.

Evidence has been provided which shows that the TATOC name and logo is being used on written correspondence with clients in four US states. The new agent located in Palm Beach, Florida is using a TATOC stamp which is added to documentation to give the impression of credibility.

Full details of the agent's name and contact details are available.

In all cases the the companies are asking for large upfront fees (some over $4,000) to sell timeshare weeks.

In some cases they include a link to the department of the treasury financial crimes enforcement network to make them look more official.

The other companies operating under the name TATOC and using the assocaition's logo and corporate identity are based in Georgetown, Washington, New York and Las Vegas.

TATOC can confirm that it is in no way connected with any US-based operation and that the name and logo is being used without our permission. TATOC urges all timeshare owners to exercise caution if they are contacted by this firm. TATOC also asks owners to report if they are contacted by this organisation.
