It has been brought to TATOC's attention that a company is attempting to defraud timeshare owners by purporting to be the Worldwide Timeshare Hypermarket - a TATOC affiliate.

Within the communication they also mention RedWeek, a U.S. based company.

While the communication is unsophisticated and may be a 'one-off', TATOC would like to advise all timeshare owners to act with caution if they receive a communication offering to sell their timeshare week for a legal services fee.

Worldwide Timeshare Hypermarket does not operate in this way and complies with all European legislation and TATOC codes of conduct and practice for re-sale activity.

It has been bought to the attention of TATOC that Direct Resorts U.K. is cold calling Silverpoint owners with offers of low priced rental weeks at Silverpoints resorts.

Silverpoint would like to confirm that, contrary to the assertions made by Direct Resorts, it does not work with this organisation and asks owners to proceed with caution if they decide to accept the offers.

It has been brought to the attention of TATOC that Resort Certs/Resort Promotions are currently targeting Silverpoint owners with the offer of low cost holidays.

The phone number in the advertisement is the same as Travel Investment Administration and Offshore Solutions which are both cold calling legal companies featured on our cold callers list.

TATOC would advise extreme caution in dealing with this company despite their reassurances that customers do not have to attend a sales presentation. There are also no ATOL/ABTA logos offering consumers protection.

It has been brought to the attention of TATOC that RCI has received more reports that representatives of Resorts Direct have contacted RCI Members and have falsely claimed to be calling on behalf of RCI.

Resorts Direct is associated with the “fly buy” company Easy Consulting SL.

RCI would like to make clear that it has no relationship or link whatsoever with Resorts Direct or Easy Consulting SL and that any claim by these companies that they represent RCI is entirely false. RCI strongly advises that its Members should not have any dealings with Resorts Direct or Easy Consulting SL.
