The new EU directive about energy performance in commercial buildings being enacted to respond to global warming, may affect timeshare resorts. This became law last April, but is still in the consultation period for implementation. Buildings in future will be rated and these rating can affect their value. Energy certifications of all buildings will be required at construction, sale or being leased.
